Pre-Analytical Information

Instructions for saliva sample collection

30 minutes before sample collection, in the morning and preferably on an empty stomach:

  • Have clean hands
  • Do not show signs of infection
  • Do not drink
  • Do not eat
  • Do not smoke
  • Do not chew gum
  • Do not wear lipstick
  • Do not brush your teeth
  • Do not rinse your mouth

Instructions for sample collection

1. Crachez dans l’entonnoir jusqu’à ce que la salive atteigne la ligne de remplissage (en excluant les bulles).
1. Spit into the funnel until the saliva reaches the fill line (excluding bubbles).
Fermez hermétiquement le couvercle de l’entonnoir en appuyant fermement jusqu’à entendre un clic net.
2. Close the funnel lid tightly by pressing firmly until you hear a clear click.
Dévissez l’entonnoir du tube.
3. Unscrew the funnel from the tube.
Refermez le tube avec le petit bouchon.
4. Unscrew the funnel from the tube.
Secouez le tube fermé pendant 5 secondes. Jetez ou recyclez l’entonnoir.
5. Shake the closed tube for 5 seconds. Discard or recycle the funnel.

Shipping and transport

  • Place the tube in the bag provided
  • Place the bag in the Ziwig Endotest® cardboard box
  • The sample must be shipped as quickly as possible and within a maximum of 5 days after collection
  • Storage and transport temperature 15-25°C

Post-Analytical

Details of results reporting :

The indicative timeframe for reporting results is 15 days after receipt of the sample by the laboratory.

The result reported is qualitative: positive or negative, and may be uninterpretable due to insufficient sample quality.
